CAA is a registered South African Non-Profit Organisation (272-408 NPO) that focuses on the elimination of EDCs from the environment in general but, in particular on the extensive harm that certain common chemicals, called "endocrine disrupting chemicals" are having on human health and fertility as well as the health and fertility of the many animal and plant species that share our planet.
CAA’S CORE PURPOSE – LONG TERM
To raise awareness and promote research in Africa regarding the extent and damaging effects of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs), identify how to address these negative effects, and educate and work with civil society, governments and other stakeholders on evidence based actions to limit and eliminate EDCs and the damage that they cause.
CAA’S VISION
People and Governments in Africa are aware of the damaging effects of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) and have taken action to ensure an environment free from EDCs and their negative impacts.

- Promote and support research to provide clarity on the problem of EDCs and alternatives and solutions in Africa.
- Raise public/community awareness of and improve knowledge about EDCs and other harmful chemicals in Africa.
- Educate and lobby governments’ shift in policy and regulations regarding EDCs and other harmful chemicals in Africa.
